PC-Sakai 2.6 Plans

Community Performance Testing Proof of Concept

In preparation for Sakai 2.6 testing, a demonstration of the community performance testing model was presented in Paris. Using provisioning scripts provided by Alan Berg and an environment design based on previous testing done at the University of Michigan, Chris Kretler showed that The Grinder scripts could be combined to produce reliable performance testing results. In the BOF that followed this presentation, numerous other Sakai member organizations indicated support for using this approach. Michigan will load its resources onto Confluence to start the sharing process.

Kernel 1 and Kernel 2 Performance Testing

The Performance Working Group will contribute to the 2.6/3.0 kernel effort by establishing performance requirements and testing both K1 and K2.
